Whether you are already a therapist, a counselor, healer or wish to advance your own personal development, learning hypnosis gives you powerful skills. Most importantly, hypnosis gives you (and your clients) access to the unconscious mind, a vital resource if you wish to bring about change.

This Diploma course teaches you to work effectively in trance with clients or for yourself. You build understanding of unconscious processes and learn to work with those thoughts and feelings in order to bring about effective personal solutions.

Practical Experiential Learning

This course is practical as well as giving you a theoretical framework into the nature of hypnotic trance. There are plenty of opportunities to work in trance and develop techniques, so that you build confidence to work effectively with others. Throughout the course, your proficiency grows as you put the teachings into practice straightaway.

Attendees receive a course manual on CD, covering in detail the course syllabus and including a recommended reading list.

Course Content

Over 40 hours of concentrated training in two parts, you become conversant with:

How to induce hypnotic trance in yourself and in others
How to use voice and body to achieve successful induction
Definition of trance: the external and internal experience
Direct and indirect hypnosis
A variety of trance inductions - to suit different types of people
Deepening techniques and how to sustain trance, so that effective work is achieved
Hypnotic suggestions: what they are, when and how to use them
You learn and practice hypnotic scripts for confidence boosting, ego strengthening, stress management, quitting smoking, pain relief, weight management and achieving personal goals
The dos and don'ts of effective visualisation
Awakening techniques - to ensure the successful completion of session
How to teach self-hypnosis to individuals and to groups

You also learn

Professional issues and ethics - necessary if you wish to work therapeutically.

Gaining Hypnosis Qualification

This Diploma course requires 40 hours face-to-face study plus practical 'homework' between the two weekends. In the time between the two parts of the course, participants are required to practice their skills with others, so that they can feedback their experiences to the group. Email support is provided at this time.

At course completion, attendees receive a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis. This diploma enables people, if they wish to take this work further, to become a member of the UK Guild of Hypnotist Examiners and be accredited as a Certified Master Hypnotist (CMH) by the Guild.

Membership of the UKGHE is additional. Completion of the course enables you to join the UK Guild of Hypnotist Examiners and become an accredited Certified Master Hypnotist (CMH).
Members of the UKGHE who are Certified Master Hypnotists and those holding a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis can repeat this course at the discounted fee of £120 (with £60 deposit).

This is an advanced course for people who are already conversant with inducing hypnotic trance and framing effective suggestions, ie hypnosis practitioners who have achieved a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and/or are Certified Master Hypnotists in the UK Guild of Hypnotist Examiners. If you do not have either qualification but have an equivalent and wish to take this course, please contact Lisa to discuss.

About Lisa Morgan

Course Facilitator Lisa Morgan B.Sc. PGCE CMH CHyp MPNLP is Vice Chair of the UK Guild of Hypnotist Examiners.

She became interested in exploring the power of the unconscious mind twenty years ago, when she created communication strategies for global advertising campaigns. She first taught hypnosis in 1996 and has been teaching and expanding her understanding of how hypnosis helps people change ever since.

An author and regular public speaker on the power of the unconscious mind to shape our lives, Lisa runs trance-based workshops all over the world, most recently in the USA, Japan and the UK.

She moved to Ulverston, Cumbria in 2004 after spending 10 years living and working in Asia.

Here are the answers to some questions asked recently, that might be useful if you are considering taking this course:

Question: What does 'Clinical' Hypnosis' entail?
Answer: The Diploma is in 'Clinical' Hypnosis as opposed to 'Stage' Hypnosis. This does not mean that you work in clinics - though that could be a possibility, but that practitioners work therapeutically with people. So, the hypnosis techniques you learn include helping people with stress, unwanted habits such as smoking and pain relief for example.

Question: Who accredits the course?
Answer; Future Seeing Training is approved as a training organisation of professional courses by the UK Guild of Hypnotist Examiners (www.UKguild.com).

Question: Why is the Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis such a good price compared with other certificated courses?
Answer:
1. Because it is held at Green Lane Farm, there are very few overhead costs
2. It is practical and experiential, hence takes just two concentrated weekends to complete. The course is focused on teaching you the skills and techniques involved in become a competent hypnosis practitioner.

Question: Do I need to be good academically to do this?
Answer: There is little academic study demanded but instead the training requires that all students achieve and demonstrate their competence in hypnotic trance. A CD manual details the course teaching and a reading list is supplied for those students who plan to take their studies further.
